13. Black Bear Guai
Where to find this boss: Champer 1- This boss can be encountered naturally when you head through the Black Wind Cave and towards the mountain.
Have you ever seen a fire-hurling bear? Black Myth: Wukong has just that and this bear is one of the hardest encounters in it, too. Players can find it just at the end of Chapter 1, waiting as a compulsory challenge to face if they want to cross over to the next stage.
This is yet another hard-hitting boss with brutal combos; make dodging your main defence here. Immobilising this boss will be much harder, given it keeps jumping in and out of range. So just be a little more observant and wait for attack windows.
Having a Fireproof Mantle with you can make this boss battle much easier, as it negates fire damage.
12. Tiger Vanguard
Where to find this boss: Chapter 2- Tiger Vanguard can be encountered in the Crouching Tiger Temple.
This is an optional boss hidden in a secret area of Black Myth: Wukong’s Chapter 2. To access this area, players must start the boar quest. This will lead them to the Kingdom of Sahali.
Tiger Vanguard is a quick foe; he takes a certain pride in leap attacks, which he will showcase throughout the boss fight. He will attack you with his claw and his sword; he has both and they do sizeable damage too.

While exploring the mystical world of Black Myth, you would often hear the name Yellow Wind Sage. This would give you an idea of the kind of force you will face later. As you come face to face with this fabled foe, you will see why he is so popular.
Just like most other bosses in this game, Yellow Wind Sage is much larger than Wukong. He uses a staff as a weapon and his attacks have massive hits, making them quite easy to dodge. His later phases get a bit more complicated, as he starts summoning a storm against you. If you have a Wind Tamer vessel, it can come in handy against these attacks.
This boss is not optional; you must defeat him to finish chapter 2. So no matter how hard it is, you must push through him.
10. The Duskveil
Where to find this boss: Chapter 4- Players can find The Duskveil in the secret area called Purple Cloud Mountain.
One thing everyone should know about the Duskveil beforehand is that it’s a secret boss and it’s not very easy to get to it. Players will have to first reach a secret area called Purple Cloud Mountain, which you can only do when you complete Venom Daoist’s questline and later defeat him in a duel.
This area features three bosses and one of them is the Duskveil. The most interesting thing about the Duskveil is that it is one of the few bosses in the game that has two phases and both start with a full health bar. It has a limited move set, making the first phase easier, but during its second phase, this boss gets aggressive and has deadlier attacks. Using A Pluck of Many Spell during this phase can be a lifesaver during this phase.
9. Lingxuzi
Where to find this boss: Chapter 1- You can find this boss in the Forest of Wolves.
This is a wolf demon that will commence the battle by leaping at you and performing a double slash. It can also stun you by using a howling attack; just move away when you see it curl up a little.
Its attacks are a mix of quick and slow, giving you an adequate window to dodge and counterattack. Just observe it and learn to read its attacks before they come.
8. Black Wind King
Where to find this boss: Chapter 1- Black Wind King can be found in Black Wind Cave.
Black Wind King uses a spear and is pretty good at using wind and fire magic in his battles. He uses his wind spear to slash you; he even dashes at you and if you are caught in this attack, you will lose a lot of health.
This boss becomes trivial if you start using Immobilize on it every chance. Just use the spell and attack him a few times. You will have to dodge a few fireballs during the fight, but mostly it’s easy if you time your spells and attacks wisely.
7. Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master
Where to find this boss: Chapter 4- Temple Of The Yellow Flower
This centipede-like boss is quick with its attacks and can teleport around the arena. It can also poison you, so this can be countered by using some Antimiasma Powder during the fight.
For everything else, you need to be able to recognise its attacks; it can go under the ground and resurface with a grab. It uses some powerful combos that can be dodged if you are quick enough. This boss will drain a lot of your stamina fast; it will test your dodging reflexes and it will make sure that you are out of Gourd Sips by the time you are done with it.
So, make sure you are well-prepared before you walk into this battle.
6. Yellow Loong
Where to find this boss: Chapter 4- Yellow Loong can be encountered in Webbed Village: Relief of the Fallen Loong.
It is a powerful foe that does fast attacks that do lightning damage to you. These attacks also give you long windows to do some damage. You can dodge its attack and before it can do another, you can counter.
This is a highly mobile boss who moves around the arena fluidly. Immobilize can come in handy to slow it down for a moment or two. You can also use the Rock Solid Spell to stun it and then attack. It’s a difficult enemy that will force you to think on your feet; you just need to know how to deal with all its attacks.
5. Kang-Jin Loong
Where to find this boss: Chapter 3- Kang-Jin Loon is located in the Snowhill Path close to Mirrormere Keeper’s Shrine.
This flying Ice Dragon can be found in Slowhill Path and you fight it in a large arena, which means you will spend a lot of time waiting for it to come to you orrunning after to get a single hit. This is one of the few Black Myth: Wukong bosses that will make you wish you had a ranged weapon.
It does a bunch of AoE lightning attacks; it even has several ranged attacks that it targets the players with. You can dodge them with quick reflexes and attack when you see small windows. Its massive health pool and the distance will make this boss fight a chore, but with patience, perseverance and a few well-timed dodges, you will win.
4. Buddha’s Right Hand
Where to find this boss: Chapter 4- Buddha’s Right Hand is located in the Webbed Hollow.
If you want to get a sense of the scale of this title, this boss battle would do it for you. This large, hand-looking thing is the tail of a large fly that players can find in Webbed Hollow.
This boss has a single phase, but it can do various attacks in this phase and can easily defeat you if you take it lightly. As you dodge its flicks and magic attacks, the fly up above will also throw acid across the arena. A Pluck of Many and Immobilize your friends during this battle; freeze it and attack and repeat this process while occasionally disorienting it with your clones.
3. Captain Lotus-Vision
Where to find this boss: Chapter 3- You can find Captain Lotus-Vision in the Pagoda Realm.
This is a unique boss that you can find in Pagoda Realm. It is a levitating statue that uses a magical staff as its main weapon and attacks players with various projectiles. While its attacks are very slow, they hit hard and sometimes if you are overconfident, they will catch you off guard as these projectiles can track you.
It will also fire a laser at you; this attack can be dodged easily as the magical staff blinks rapidly before firing it, like the guardians in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. With these magical attacks and the ability to teleport, Captain Lotus-Vision can be quite a challenging foe. You just must dodge and attack to defeat it.
2. Stone Monkey
Where to find this boss: Chapter 6- This boss is located in the Birthstone.
Sun Wukong’s larger and tougher version, Stone Monkey, is a boss that is slow but hits hard. This boss starts slow and easy, if players are fast enough, they can finish the first phase within moments of starting this fight. It does hit hard though and can teleport, so be wary about these moves and you will do well.
In its second phase, this Monkey goes elemental; it uses the Flaming Ring, the Ice Slam and the Stone Monkey Clone. Some might say that it’s a pushover for being the penultimate boss of Black Myth, but that’s only if they time their dodges correctly. It can easily make your life difficult if you are slow and ignorant about how he moves around the arena.
1. The Great Sage’s Broken Shell
Where to find this boss: Chapter 6- The Great Sage’s Broken Shell can be found in the Heart Of Birthstone.
Once you have defeated the Stone Monkey, you face The Great Sage’s Broken Shell. It looks like Wukong too, but it is much faster and has a more unique set of attacks than Stone Monkey.
You will feel like you are fighting a more aggressive version of yourself; it uses a staff and several abilities that you will find tricky to deal with. There are chains of attacks that you should dodge; otherwise, if you get trapped in them, you are sure to lose a sizeable part of your health.
